引っ越し中に出てきた娘が小さかった頃いただいた木製のおもちゃです。色々な想いが交差して、今は私の小さなお仏壇コーナーの隅に置かれています。
When organizing old stuff like toys, pictures, letters at the end of the year (a couple of months ago), I found a wooden toy that someone had given to my daughter when she was small. The woman was a friend of my uncle in Japan, and she kindly babysat my difficult baby – she was much more difficult than other babies! – all day long. She barely knew me, almost a stranger, yet she kindly took care of my daughter all day long and even gave her a lucky mallet. It is a wooden toy for babies with a traditional craft design from Hakone, Japan. I decided to keep the toy along with the warm, appreciated memories and used it as my website URL as an affirmation!
